  • 350 vintage and classic drum OS-Machine sounds
  • Playback in stereo or up to 11 channel surround systems.
  • Recorded with an additional eleven separate room microphones set up in a surround configuration for a completely immersive experience.
  • In excess of 230 GB of raw, unprocessed sounds in 44.1 kHz/24 bit.
  • With Superior Drummer 3, you have control and creative power beyond the imaginable. While I'd like to have a better deal for owning EZ2, SD2, I think supporting the company is important as they have that easy to upgrade app manager, have been entirely bug-free for my uses, and now are so open with 3rd party MIDI search, and swappable drum parts. In addition to a massive library of raw sound material, Superior Drummer 3 introduces a unique design, a streamlined workflow and countless features for powerful drum production in your computer. Audiodeluxe didn't have an upgrade when I looked, but I agree, they offer great deals. I didn't find a deal, just the $199 upgrade. Maybe it's just better to go with the flow, and match tempo's at some later date if need be? But you'd need a bunch of separate tracks or bouncing audio (3 tracks for kick, 2 for snare, etc) I'd be interested in knowing how to do that (academically) for laying audio, as I'm sure in the future it will make your recordings software proof. I wonder where this is leading? This appears to be in-the-box drums, so they don't seem geared toward recording separate tracks. I especially like the George Massenburg presets.

Some really good drum tracks don't sound "in the room" like a drum does solo,īut that's an issue for matching references. I don't know how that transfers to recording. When I go back and forth, there are some amazing sounds out of SD3 that are just way more "real". If you don't care for earlier drum libraries from EZ2 and SD2, then you can delete those as well. But it turn out that it's in 5 libraries and if you don't care about surround sound (which I currently don't) you can not download about 90GB of the 230 GB. I wasn't so sure about biting, but in the end, I did.
